See You Tomorrow

The story begins with familiar seaside moments. As the holographic illusion fades, a warm reunion gives way to the loneliness beneath it. The dog’s owner left the spacecraft to make repairs and never returned, but their memories together continue to play. The border collie understands neither death nor the boundary between illusion and reality. It remembers only the direction its owner took—and eventually ventures outside to find them.

Through this story, we explore the question posed by the brief: “If loneliness is the enduring backdrop to existence, can an illusion offer true solace?” The joy within the illusion is real, yet it cannot replace the one we are waiting for.

Rendered in the style of hand-drawn 2D animation, the film brings together the coast and the cosmos. Through movement, atmosphere, and music, it grounds this question in a dog’s simple longing for its owner.
